Happy Halloween week! This weeks class information.

Please submit news quiz questions for the week of October 31st- Nov.4th. You may submit up to 3. And you may not submit on a topic that someone has already submitted.. 
Current events # 5 (5 due) due Friday November 4th.
Please remember the format for submissions. Name, period, question and answer. Shy away from answers that are subjective and have exact numbers. Also questions/answers that are fluid.
From now until the end of the year you must meet all of the requirements for each current event to receive credit. If you do not you will receive a "ZERO". Remember the (5x5 format) 5 sentence minimum for the first paragraph summary, 5 sentence paragraph on the importance/ significance. YOU MUST  include the category and site.

Please be prepared for a REED Report on Friday. NO current events notebook no Reed Report. Your notebook completed is your ticket in!!!

Monday Oct.31 at 2:25 p.m. is the deadline to turn in the VFW essay with the entry, printed essay, and audio... YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO TURN THIS IN AFTER THE DEADLINE. NO EXCEPTIONS.

1.) The Voice of Democracy essay is due on Wednesday for 1st and 2nd. And Thursday for 4th and 7th. I need the ENTRY FORM COMPLETED, PRINTED ESSAY AND YOUR AUDIO 3-5 MINUTES FOR FULL CREDIT! Remember if you want me to help with your audio please record and send to jim.reed@washougalsd.org

2.) 9 current events are due on Friday 10/28. You may do 10, one for bonus.

3.) We will be working on the ballot. You will research each candidate, initiative, referendum and measure that is on the ballot. In a google doc you must list the pro's and con's for each. Then write up your "justification" for your vote. Click here for a helpful site. (Use your time wisely) If you don't know something RESEARCH!!! Use trusted resources! Make good choices! This will be due Friday!

4.) I will link up a google form for all the classes to vote in! Lets see how we do compared to other classes.

Soeren Serve has made some gains but is still behind in the poll.  Please remember to vote for him for Week 6 Fall Sports Prep Athlete of the Week and please ask your students to vote too. Soeren is a junior foreign exchange student from Denmark. Let's show him how Washougal supports their students by helping him get this well-deserved recognition for his hard work on the tennis court.
